Sunday's activities

Sunday was a beautiful weather day. My DH and I walked to Costco after having breakfast of homemade whole wheat bread, almond butter and honey and our last lovely fruit salad of the season from now on it will persimmons, grapes, apples and a bunch of tropical fruits from far away.
I have a great wheeled ice chest that I got from my company quite a while ago. The walk to Costco comprised about 9500 steps to go back and forth. We have to control ourselves from buying everything in the store since it has to fit in the ice chest. Later I walked to Safeway and bought some things for a meatless dinner of Black beans, caramelized onions, a can of tomatoes and cheddar cheese over brown rice. I ended up with 14, 616 steps for the day. And a pretty awesome calorie day that was right inside my new calorie threshold.
Today I walked around the industrial park my company borders. They are doing lots of construction and I found a fence across the usual path I take so I had to backtrack and look for a new path. I walked past an area I hadn't been in for a long time and found out that they had built another branch of our local community college right near where I work. I'll have to check and see if they offer any courses that I want to take.
