This has been one of those days, when every which way, I turn, there is a time consuming blockage--
We all have these mornings, I'm sure--
#1. It's an UBER DAY-(I'm the Uber driver!)---which means I must be totally organized, to get Himself at his office by 9am--
#2. The scales showed a pound increase--(I will deal with that later)---I know it bobs around a lot before the real weight-in day on the weekend--
#3. I turned on the old "Hop-a Long" computer--and I read, "Do these Downloads now or bad stuff will happen"--and you know how long vital stuff from Windows takes---AND a restart---
#4.-The Furnace Cleaner, "Rusty", is coming at 9AM---which means Himself must be dropped a half hour earlier-, so I will be home--- (but of course it's 9-30am, and he is not here yet)-
#5--THIS IS THE BIGGY--Tess, the German, as in dog, has Diarrhea----Lord love a Duck!---
Trying to alleviate this complicated situation, I put a call into one of our sons--"Could he please pick up his Dad and drive him to work?" I asked him.
The answer was "No"---
As Himself said, "He has his own life."
-and I remembered my poem----"Comes The Dawn"
After a while, you learn the subtle difference,
Between holding a hand and chaining a soul,
And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning,
And company doesn't mean security,
And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts,
And presents aren't promises,
And you begin to accept your defeats,
With your head up and your eyes open----
This poem, by Veronica Shoffstall, goes on and on--
Once again, it has given me the strength to accept that I CAN DO THIS---
Lord love a Duck!--It might be difficult----but (that big "BUTT")-, it WILL get done--
Maybe other stuff will be put "on hold" for to-day--
"Them's the Breaks"----My Mom used to say that !-
Some days are sure harder than others--but, we plough thru--
I must get on that Dreadmill, at least for 10 minutes this AM---and jiggle the Germans--in--then out---
Now, Queen Elizabeth, I'm sure, has her "Ladies in Waiting", helping her, on days like this--
Oh, to be a Queen!
Maybe a wee dance is in store--
