Soaking Up The Sun

I'm still here and still plodding along. It has been a long week. I have let the stress of life get to me and haven't exercised as much as I should have this week. It hasn't been a total loss. I have packed my lunch every day and eaten within my calorie range. I am down two more pounds and my jeans are fitting a bit loose.

Today the weather is beautiful. After having highs in the teens most of the week, it is 70 degrees and sunny outside. I took advantage and went for an hour long walk at the park with my husband. We walked three miles and it felt great. It was the perfect way to get back into an exercise routine. It also felt great to soak up the sunshine and warmth before it gets cold again.

    Your walk (& 70, which they say is about the optimum temp for most folks) sounds great. I've been off a bit too, but today is a new day, and the week is young so can still make a dent in it.

    emoticon Lifting weights gives us more muscle mass so our internal fire is higher, and we burn just a tad more at rest. Gonna lift some now!
