Learning to Eat Healthier - Keeping Weight Down

I have kept my weight at 250 pounds since I went on my cruise to Encenada, Mexico on June 11, 2017. My weight has fluctuated between 250 - 255 for the past 6 months.
I cook two different types of meals on the weekend. When I pack my meals, I pack enough for two days usually, for example, I take Cat Fish and Cole Slaw and pack enough for two days. I pack Spegeittie with elbow macaroni noodles, ground beef, cheese and lots of bell peppers for two days. I eat half of what I packed on one day and the rest on the other day.
On Saturday, I go out to eat with my mom and I always eat a salad, or something that has vegetables with the meal.
Right now I am going to a Nutritionist once a month and learning how to eat healthier. Eat dinner at night - A protein and card - String Cheese
Eat oatmeal for breakfast every other day.
Eat healthy snacks like fruit, nuts, or yogurt.
For lunch eat meat with vegetables as much as possible.
Drink plenty of water.
When you skip meals, your body will hold onto food because it thinks that you are starving your body. If I skip a meal at night, my blood sugar will be higher in the morning, because the liver puts out more sugar.
I want to lose weight for me. I love myself and want to treat myself with respect. I don't want to harm this body which is God's Temple. I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health.
