When movie night hurts my plan

Every Saturday night I get together with friends to watch movies. The hosts are former cafe owners and pastry chefs so food is also part of the fun. We all bring food to share. I cut back on meals that day so I have some flexibility to enjoy the great food. However, our hostess sometimes encourages me to eat larger portions or more food than I really want to eat. I'm going to announce how much I appreciate all the great food that everyone brings, but that I am on a nutrition plan that requires my portions to be smaller. That way I can enjoy and compliment all the chefs without eating too many calories. I hope that everyone will be more sensitive to my situation when they hear about my plan and that they will be supportive knowing that I can still enjoy everything they bring - just in smaller portions.
