I think I'm ready...

Tuesday, February 06, 2018

At least I slept last night. So I did get everything done today including getting a new battery in my keyless car thingy. My little computer screen kept telling me since yesterday my key needed a battery. I didn't want to take a chance of not being able to start my car when I got back.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments on the quilt. That one was really fun to make.

Today I ran into to town and got some drugs that needed filling, got the battery, picked up some groceries for the house sitter and was home by noon to finish the laundry, make the bed, vacuum 3 rooms and give the kitchen a good once over. Here it is almost 11 and I'm all done with those things and have my suitcase packed. I have also printed my boarding pass and luggage tags. But I'm not tired. I'm just plain excited.

Thank fulls
1. I got myself thru computer check in, upgraded my seat and paid for my check in bag. Amazing.
2. My house and kitchen are in pretty good shape. Not clean enough for my mother but I've never ever gotten to that level of clean.
3. Enjoying watching the animals trying to figure out what is going on. They've been in the suitcase and Peabody seemed to think even he would fit.

My plan for tomorrow is to leave here by 10 so I can stop and have lunch with my aunt and hopefully be to the airport parking lot by 2:30 to 3. Then dinner with my kids and grand kits once I get to Seattle.

I hope you sleep well tonight, but knowing your going to see your kids tomorrow must be exciting for you. Enjoy your lunch with your aunt before heading to the airport, then enjoy your flight to Seattle.
I have never been the house cleaner my mother was, and that's okay by me. When the kids were small I cleaned super to make sure the house was really clean. Now that there is just hubby and I, don't do some of the weekly house chores my mom had on her list every week and am fine with that.
