These are cedar seeds. They remind me of trees at the house where I grew up. There were two trees on opposite sides of the sidewalk in front of our house. The trees would overgrow so there was barely enough room to walk through. My father would cut them back to almost nothing and yet they persistently grew back with health and vigor. This process repeated frequently and it was probably one of my first lessons in perseverance.

I started logging in daily in late November to determine I could do it consistently before I started using the nutritional planner. Right now I'm setting new records.
These are NSV's and it is time for me to acknowledge them. As I've written earlier, acknowledging my success is difficult for me to do. I always thought that "tooting my own horn" was egotistical. Perhaps it is, but recognizing success is part of learning to live the lifestyle that will make this a permanent change for me.

So, I'm in new territory each day now. I want these Streaks to continue, so I'll do what it takes to make that happen.
Using the nutritional planner has been an invaluable tool for me. When I wake up each morning, I plan the day ahead. Sometimes I do it the night before. When I learned that I could "group" my favorite meals and I could "copy" them to another day, that made the planning ahead that much easier.

Even though I've been off and on Spark People for years, I'm still learning how to use some of the tools. One I learned recently was that when using the "emoticons" after I opened the window, I could hold down the "m" key, and select several at a time. It's a simple thing that makes it easier to leave friendly comments on a friend's page or blog. Anything that simplifies my life pleases me.
So today is a short blog. I need a bit more sleep so will take a short nap to remedy that.
