Why do I say I want to lose weight?

Everyone always says "I want to lose weight", including me. Today in the sparkcoach video it asked me to write in my blog what my motivation was...WHY I wanted to lose weight. My first thought is to have more energy, but that's not a complete answer. Why do I want more energy? Three minutes later after staring into space, I decide I want to have energy to do the things I love. I want to wake up with energy instead of feeling sluggish. Is losing weight going to fix that? Maybe...hopefully...it will sure help. I want energy to practice yoga and meditate before eating breakfast. I want the energy to start creating again...making jewelry, sewing, crocheting, drawing, gardening.... Wow, I'm asking a lot from weight lose. I think I've made losing weight into a fairy godmother, or an excuse. Ohhh, revelation...has being overweight become an excuse for not doing what I say I love to do? Ohhh my goodness, I think I had an epiphany.
But losing weight is something I actually do have control over, it sure doesn't usually feel that way, but I really do control what I pick up and put into my mouth. So, I do believe if I can gain control over that, AND STICK TO IT, then those other areas of my life will fall into place. I do believe it. No excuses.
