A picture's worth a thousand words

There are times when words just don't cut it. There are images that just seem like known words can even describe. Then there are those images that can protect your backside. Proof. Date-stamped proof.
There are images that have such rich colors and contrasts that your memory takes you right back to that special place and includes not only the sights, but the sounds and smells as well. Or the wind.
Trying to visualize where I want to be in 6 months, a year or 5 years is a challenge for me. I keep wanting to go back to a familiar place in the past and take what I know now with me. I got to thinking about the vision boards or motivation boards mentioned somewhere over the years in this first part of the Spark program. It's so much easier for me to stay focused if I am reminded of why I'm doing this, to avoid the 2 year old that wants to have a hissy fit and eat it anyway. I haven't come up with an overall vision yet, but I have come up with one for my favorite sports--Hurling and Gaelic Football. I've got an early team picture of us all in our jerseys and I'm right there midst a bunch of young navy guys that are probably half my age (there's also some in between and a few years younger). And no, I cannot keep up with them. But I sure do want to try. At least this is one place where I don't mind refusing to grow up! We've had more people join in and now have enough for two teams to give us all game experience. Now if things would settle down for a while.....
