Slow and Steady

Life has been so busy, complicated and stressful lately. I have barely had time to breathe, much less to get on here to post. My exercise plan has fizzled due to working long hours and my stress level has been high. Between work and school, I have not taken time to take care of myself over the last few weeks. I know this is not good. Self care is so important. I preach it to my staff and to clients, but I don't practice it myself. So today I am making a change. I am putting more balance into my life and am going to treat myself like I am just as important as everyone else.

On the upside, my weight has dropped slowly but steadily at about one and a half pounds per week. I have been eating pretty healthy and drinking a lot of water. My focus has been on making healthy choices and changing my lifestyle rather than dieting. I have noticed when I make an unhealthy choice, like eating pizza, my stomach gets upset and I just don't feel good. It is amazing how your body craves healthy food and water once you get used to eating that way. Now to make exercise a habit.

    Even just 10-15 minutes a day to do some deep breathing can help lower stress, good luck!!!
