Memorial Day Promise
Monday, May 28, 2018
I spent part of this Memorial Day at the cemetery, a fitting place for the day.
I go there every Memorial Day to fulfill a promise I made to my mother before she died.
“Now, Dorothy, when I die I want you to put flowers on the graves I take care of,” she said.
“ Yes, Mom,” i said. “Of course I will.”
At that time, there were 3 graves. Since my husband passed away, now there are 4. My son and his wife help me to keep this promise to my mom.
