Last July I took early retirement. I had all these projects that I planned to work on. At first I was rolling around like normal. I had a wedding to bake for and that pretty well filled up my last two weeks in July. August was filled with yard work. Was doing great getting things accomplished. You see I still felt like I was on vacation and I had the feeling of having a deadline. In September to December still focused and getting things done. January hit and I really did feel retired and that is when it started.
Gotta go. . . .
Making cookies for my DH and DS. Made a type I don’t like and I am storing them in the basement freezer. Sigh see . . .
Today I thought I had a plan of what I was going to do. The problem was I did not write it down. Not that writing it means it is written in stone, but a visual guideline. It is not that I haven’t done anything today. I actually accomplished a lot, just nothing that I had planned to do. Well except sweep the floor, and that’s because right now Sadie is a shedding machine! The furminator isn’t even helping and believe me it isn’t because it isn’t getting the fur off of her.
I know she has short hair. Who knew! Not that I would ever give up my wee fur dropping buddy! Sigh, see I lost focus again.
So I need to regain my focus and not waste as much time! I need to remind myself that. . .
Monday mornings I will write a list of what I want to accomplish and the day I want to accomplish this task.
I will then write out a daily plan for the week that includes:
Exercise goals for the day and the time that I will complete them by.
Daily chores for house maintenance and the times that I will complete them by.
Any appointments that I need to attend,
Any project or art time.
After these are accomplished then, and only then will I allow my focus to be distracted by other things.
I can do this!
