A Good Start

I was a little leery of starting my new efforts to get back in shape with a 11 hour road trip. I think I actually did very well. I got up early enough to get a protein shake and a good walk in before we had to leave. Showering with our water heater broken was really motivational to get it done quick and get on the road.
I made good choices at breakfast with an eggwhite omlet with spinach, turkey sausage, salsa and avocado, and fruit. I had a protein bar for lunch rather than the snacks Shawn and the kids noshed on and chose a burrito bowl with brown rice for dinner. I got all my fruits and veggies in.
Every time we stopped I tried for my 250 steps. I didn't get 8K in today but I don't really expect to. I'm very happy with my 7,400 steps and 1500 calories.
Hopefully I can repeat this Saturday, and find a way to navigate the social meals after the memorial service tomorrow.
