I just joined the other day because I need a change & my doc gave me an ultimatum sorta.
I have some pretty bad habits and have been drinking soda since I was a small kid. Lovely how they didn't worry about that stuff in the 70s, but it has created a plus-size woman who has too much physical pain and seems like my mobility is limited at times.
I've been a very active Mtn Dew addict since high school. And for the last 10 years I've been trying to kick it, with zero success. Today is different.
Drank my last one last night...none today and I'm doing great. Just have a low-grade headache that started after dinner tonight. I am focused....I am gonna do it this time!
My weight is currently 238 lbs. Scary thing it is probably all from the Mtn Dew lol. Yes...I drank nothing but that...and have really paid for it. It destroyed my teeth (I no longer have any at 40 yrs young), probably has helped keep me from sleeping, destroyed my insides, and just has my body all out of whack.
Today I started physical therapy for low back pain (sacral pain). It's time for a change. Time to listen to my body...and possibly my doctor lol.
Hopefully my progress will help someone else who struggles with a soda addiction and the added weight that comes with it.
