So, I work as a visual effects artist and live in Los Angeles area, so that means that my job these days ends up being "all-or-nothing". What I mean by that is that when I first started out 20+ years ago, I was a part of huge teams of people working on this movie or that movie. Now, I am a freelance digital artist who works on projects when the clients/studios need extra help, because they use multitudes of artists in India or China or even Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto or even London to do the bulk of the work needed. The business changed to where studios are looking to find the cheapest way to get the challenging but beautiful work done, and I understand that. I mean, if you have a budget to make a film or TV show and you can save $ going elsewhere to get work done, it makes sense to save some money.
Anyway, that's not what I'm here writing about. Just providing a back story as to why I am sometimes checking in every day on SP and keep up with it, and other times, I just do not have time to even check in here. I tend to work in spurts of a few months here, a few months there, sometimes just a few weeks here & there. I always want to get back to my fitness goals and food tracking when I'm back home full time.
I'm sure there must be others like me! Sometimes, too busy for SP when the crunch times hit. What do you do to keep up with the exercise when there's very little time? Now, the dieting I know is all about discipline and willpower. But when I'm not exercising as much, I think I need to cut back on the food intake because I'm not burning calories as much and I find some difficulty with that.
Well anyway, here I am - back to Sparking and I'll be back to CrossFit classes again too. Still healing from plantar fasciitis pain but they will have alternate exercises for me to do instead. Getting enough sleep is a good thing, so happy for that!! I feel like when I have these breaks from work, I get to balance myself a lot better.
One more thing! A few months ago, I mentioned that I had to see a cardiologist because I was experiencing heart palpitations. I had an echocardiogram test done and a heart monitor... everything came back normal! My doctor said to keep exercising and that I have a very healthy heart. YAY! That was excellent news! It's good to know that I'm on the right path.
Have a wonderful rest of the week, everyone!
