BACK TO KETO

Sunday, July 29, 2018

Dr said get off keto; I did much to my dismay. I gained 5 lb in just 3 days while I went directly from Keto to Weight Watchers. I am now hungry all of the time, waking up for middle of the night snacks; my feet, ankles and calves are swelling up again - as they were before I started keto. Even my diuretic is not helping.

Well, the docs can say whatever they want; I'm back to keto after my labs & MRIs on Tuesday. I am starting ALL OVER again (through no fault of my own this time.)

emoticon AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!

Wait till you get back the results from labs & MRIs on Tuesday.. I would then speak to my doctor about what you experiencing . If you then feel he is treating you as a individual, then I would find another doctor.

Have you read the Wahls Protocol. It seems Ket o to me. Just thought you might be interested in the science behind it for MS. I was diagnosed in 2009 and I'm still searching for an eating plan that works for me. I wish you the best!

emoticon Good Luck on your journey to success. I hate to ask but if you have a little time, would you stop by and tell me the explanation of KETO? not familiar with this at all. What work's for one, may not work for others, you should know what to do for yourself. God Bless! emoticon emoticon

    IOWAGRAMMA,
relax with you DS an DIL. Keto is not high protein which could (maybe) be hard on the kidneys. Keto is low low carb, and pretty much the daily minimum of protein (around 50 to 60 grams a day). So just meeting the daily minimums of protein.

Just curious about why the docs recommended that you stop the keto diet. My DS and DIL have been doing it for a couple years now and have done well, but I have to admit that I have been a bit worried about it because of the protein/kidney load as much as anything. Anyway, good luck to you and hopefully, you'll find the best thing that works well, and it sounds like your plan is the keto plan!

You can do it. Drs forget everyone is not built the same. When I am doing great and they tell me to stop I don't until I have proof that it's critical that I do. Good luck.
