Focus on the feeling

Today's spark coach video was about using other ways besides the scale to gauge my progress. Interesting because I have been thinking a lot about that the last few days. Luckily for me, the scale has been moving, every week, but it has been moving much slower than it has in the past when I have embarked on a new way of living in an attempt to lose weight. In the past 2 things have slipped me up, not losing and losing if that makes any sense. When I see progress on the scale, I loosen the diet because I think that I can. A treat now and then wouldn't hurt this progress but those treats can be slippery slopes that lead to full blown relapses into old habits.

I have been focusing on how I feel. The increase in my activity has done so much for my outlook on life. I feel good. I have energy and motivation to continue on. I crave exercise and I am looking forward to ways to continue daily activity/exercise when winter comes. It helps that I have an accountability partner now. Looking forward to keeping on, keeping on and reaching my goal weight. I know I can do this!!!

    I know exactly what you mean! Consistency is a key that I continue to work on. Needing to stay focused on the journey instead of being willing to camp along the roadside. Blessings on the Journey. 👍💪
