Back At It Again!

So, this is my first blog entry in a few years. I have fallen off the wagon, and the wagon rolled over me. SparkPeople's tools and community support helped me lose 38 pounds, but I have gained all the weight back. Now I am suffering with sluggishness, aches and pains, and an all-around yucky feeling.

Next week, I turn 51 and I just read an old blog of mine from my birthday in 2013 in which I happily announced I broke out of the 200-pound range and made it down to 198. Oh, how I wish I had continued Sparking!! So, here I am again starting from the beginning.

I have not weighed myself, partly because the battery in my scale has been long dead, but also because I do not want to see what I am at right now. I am guessing I weigh 225 again based on how I feel and the way my clothes are fitting.

On a positive note, I am 1 week into my lifestyle changes. Last Saturday, I started back with my Pilates workouts, choosing healthful foods, and controlling my food portions. Starting back with Pilates was excruciating! I could barely do most of the routines! Just a few days in, I am beginning to build enough strength to do them fairly well. The best part is that I can already see my belly tightening up and my posture improving! My body aches all over from the exercising but I know it will be worth it.

So, here I am again. I need to just buy that battery for my scale so I can track my weight, then continue what I have started so I can be healthy again and finally reach my goal of a healthy 159 pounds. I can do this!
