Only .2 of a Pound Away and My CLOSET CAVED IN !

Saturday, August 18, 2018

NOTE: DESSERT foods ARE discussed here ! emoticon
Well, it happened~I LOST a pound this week ~though it kept trying to find me ! {I am GOOD at Hide and Seek!}. I DID make not the best for me choices this week~Monday~Talenti Gelato~ 1/2 cup ; Tuesday DS's birthday ~we went to Rainforest Cafe and I had salmon {I know, high fatty fish}and no dessert THERE ,but YES, I had it ~ very small ,but the calories ~they still COUNT ~cheesecake from Walmart {the 4 different kinds that are small wedges ~420 cals for 2 wedges~my reasoning ~the cheesecake is gone in 2 days vs. a birthday cake that has 320cals per slice and it stays for a week!} Wednesday~ WHO KNEW that Ford {the car company} would send us two gourmet brownies as a thank you for the car we bought ~Is it those are the MOST expensive brownies in the world and we get a free car?! Anyway, how did I lose the weight? I KEPT MOVING!! If you check my trackers~ Food and Fitness ,you'll see constant movement and ~the KEY word on this CHALLENGE ~CONSISTENCY!!! If I ate it, it was recorded on the Nutrition tracker. If I did an activity or some movement, it was recorded on the Fitness Tracker. Now ,all those foods are GONE from the house and ONE pound with them!
Still counting...-.2 with one week to go on the Summer Challenge~~I now have to go log the WEIRDEST ACTIVITY I know as movement ~ I will record as exercise~lifting and moving CLOTHES,SHOES and assorted accessories to other areas of the house to temporarily store them.
~MY ENTIRE CLOSET CAVED IN! emoticon And of course, just when I had reorganized it a month ago! Well, it will keep me on my toes and now I will get a customized closet EARLIER than was planned~{I was supposed to get it maybe three years down the road!}.And REALLY,NO, I did NOT Pull it DOWN {like my DH and DS seem to think } !! Praise God that no one got hurt [neither did the cats ]~and I don't think they jumped on it. The dog was not in the house when it happened! The closet had held all my clothes for three years with no problems and only a new Christmas gift of a sweater so,no new clothes.I just think the weight of the clothes were too much. {I have alot of Winter clothes}.In fact, ONE of the many reasons to lose the weight is to GET BACK IN my cute outfits that I saw in there when I reorganized [including that little black dress]!! emoticon
And how are you doing on your Summer Challenge or personal weight goals?!
Remember~ emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon It's the LAST WEEK!!!

wow what a way to get the closet re done oh wait that is kind of what I did to get a new laundry room except I had to let the floor fall apart from a water leak that was very expensive and unplanned

I love vintage and have saved my small clothes for years. I have enough stored away to open my own vintage store but I plan to shop my storage instead of Walmart for my new clothes as I lose. This has been my best challenge in a long while too.I am so proud of us!

Betsy - you are doing wonderfully well on this challenge. I wish I could say the same thing but usually, I do better during the in-between (less stressed out). I am glad that you will be doing the in-between challenge with us. Hugs. Lise

I agree with Dee, that's a drastic way to clean out the closet! But very effective.

Great news pn evading the pound that was hounding you! emoticon I completely agree with you about consistency! emoticon emoticon

I remember years ago being sent an exquisite box of imported chocolates for Mother's Day from one of my young adult kids. DH and I had been having great success in losing some pounds, but who could resist those chocolates?! Between us we ate the box in a couple days and still lost weight! We called it our "Box of chocolate diet". LOL Like you, we were exercising and moving so I think our metabolism was revved. You're doing great! Congrats on being so very close to your goal. You'll be in those cute clothes you've been saving.
