A Vacation to Remember

My husband and I just returned from an entertaining and fun week in Mackinaw City, Michigan. We love to travel and explore new places, and the best part was re-connecting with old friends and meeting new ones.
Our Sparkpeople group, the RV Enthusiasts, tries to get as many members as possible together somewhere in the U.S. at least once a year. We’ve met in South Dakota, Nevada, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado. Not all can make every rally, but along the way, we’ve made enduring friendships.
Here’s a picture of the six gals from our team who made the trip. All but us drove their RV’s — we flew because CA was just too far this summer, LOL.
And here’s a picture of the six couples at the camp site:
The gorgeous weather helped as we took several whole-group trips together, including a ferry boat ride to Mackinac Island where we all joined a carriage tour.
Here’s a view of the island harbor, from where we ate lunch.
One day we took a trolley across the Mackinaw Bridge and another tourist kindly took our picture.
Saying goodby at the end of the week was difficult but I know I’m already anticipating the next meet-up! My husband and I hope to plan our time better so we can bring our RV from California to wherever the groups decides to go.
