~I CAN SAY NO and I DID today~No to red velvet cake offered by my neighbor. emoticon

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon way to go that is a huge win. your inspire me to keep on moving towards my goal . enjoy the challenge.
The Biggest lesson its not a diet we are learning how to eat healthy. so when we reach goal we are not trying to figure out how to eat and stay at goal .
2 we are more than the scales how do i feel in my cloths
3 don't forget we are human and at time we might say yes to cake but not every time
4 to keep sparking even if we don't feel like it
What team are you on for the challenge

Good for you! That is how you know you have changed your mindset!

The biggest thing I have learned from SP is that it is ok to break up your big goals into small chunks. Right now, I am looking at the next .8 pounds...that is ALL.

I have learned that a little movement is better than no movement, so sometimes, I have to spread my walks out across the day...but that is ok.

Kudos on resisting the red velvet cake! For my birthday, I made a Cinnamon Ricotta Cake that is low-carb and no sugar (used erythritol and stevia to sweeten). To put on top of individual pieces I made a Cream Cheese frosting with no added sugar. Just cream cheese, butter, vanilla, and powdered erythritol! So Low-carb and no sugar all the way around!

Whoohoo! Great Job and like she said don't forget to join At goal and maintenance and transitioning to maintenance team. They have a great challenge that lasts 9 weeks and is new every 9 weeks. Really helps to keep on track. emoticon

What I've learned during my time Sparking:

    1. NEVER GIVE UP! Whether you lose or gain, in good times or tough times, Never. Give. Up. It's also true for people on maintenance.

    2. Your Spark Challenge team can and will provide support, and a loving kick in the butt when you need it.

    3. You will make fantastic, life-long friends with amazing people living all over the world; people you'd never have met without SparkPeople. And when you get to meet them in person, it's even better!!!

Great job! Be sure and join the At Goal & Maintaining Plus Transition to Maintenance team if you haven't already. Now is your time to plan how you are going to keep it off for the rest of your life. I agree with Jeanknee, mostly that means keep doing what you have been doing.

    Congrats!! -Marsha

The thing is, NEVER leave the SP land. It's of utmost importance to keep track on the food intake and the exercise you do. This is NOT to meet one specific goal (wedding, a birthday, etc.) THIS IS A LIFELONG LIFESTYLE commitment that one undertakes. We can do this just like you have done! Keep up the great work. Hugs. You've got this! emoticon emoticon

I've learned to love and care for my body and mind and to encourage others. Hang in there and stay positive! Find ways to move more, choose healthy, water is king of the drinks but herb tea counts if you want something warm, fresh air and sunshine trumps indoor when it comes to exercise but indoors trumps nothing at all.

NEVER GIVE UP -- NEVER QUIT! That is my family motto, but it works here as well. I read other blogs and Spark pages and even though I may not be anywhere close to my goal weight, I'm still here. There have been so many times with so many things that I've wanted to quit, but some internal something keeps me going. I don't know the name of it, but I'm glad it's there.

    Keep on going! emoticon

Most importantly, it's not a diet, it's a 'live-it' - in other words its a lifestyle we create in order to maintain any losses we make!

Doing great Betsy. Good job saying no to the cake. You will be a maintainer in no time. I will just say I have learned to just keep moving forward with healthy habits. No going back to my old ways. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I am SO PROUD of you! emoticon emoticon

Keep up the great work. What we learn during the weight loss phase continues to serve us during the maintenance phase.

For the most part, as maintainers we keep doing what we did during the weight loss phase. The journey is essentially about establishing habits to sustain a healthy lifestyle.
