10/11/18 - Bedtime

Thursday, October 11, 2018

Since we could get some frost over night, I picked all the tomatoes. Right now, they're in a bucket sitting in the kitchen. I'm not sure whether to put them in a brown paper bag or leave them in the bucket with a towel over it. I do know I need to find a dark spot to store them until they ripen.

I've been at my current job for a little over 25 years and got a call from a long time client. He just turned 86 and was calling to see how I was doing. Bless him.

Now that it's gotten colder again, the kitties will be staking out corners of my bed, so we can all snuggle. =^..^= =^..^=

Sweet dreams everyone!!!

Leslie

My mother used to wrap the last of the tomatoes individually in newspaper, place them in a cardboard box, and store them in the closet in the sun room. With no heat, they stayed cool and would ripen slowly. I guess that worked for her. I was too young to worry about having fresh tomatoes during the winter months.

That phone call must have make your day. It's so nice when people go out of their way to let you know they are thinking about you.

Enjoy your purring foot warmers. emoticon
