Friday is the day 5 of our second multi-day fast. Last meal was on Sunday night, and the next will be today's lunch. Just looking at bouillon cubes makes us both nauseated, we will have to address this problem next time and prepare something less awful to drink while fasting Weight loss (water) is half that of the first fast - only 3.5 Lbs for me. The blood BOHB spike is also lower (4.8 vs. 5.8). Perhaps, the body is getting smarter at conserving energy in the face of starvation. Hubby's numbers are also lower than the first time. The point in a long fast is of course the stem cell activation (if the current science is right), which we cannot feel or measure. But I noticed that my weight stabilized since the first fast: I stopped gaining weight. For someone who doesn't count calories and eats until full, it's a very good thing.
