It's Been Quite a Month...

Well... November has been quite a month so far.
My fiance's mom was chronically ill (kidney disease and heart problems ). She passed unexpectedly last week.
The stress and trauma of losing my finace's mom just pushed me over the edge. I had a little bit of a breakdown, and landed in a psychiatric ward for four days.
Thankfully, I am feeling much better now. I'm still sad, and very worried for my fiance (he was very close to his mom), but I am no longer having a full-blown crisis about it.
I saw my therapist on Wednesday. I am working with her, my psychiatrist, and my social support networks in order to get myself back on track with life.
My therapist wants me to focus on both my mental and physical health. I understand why—they're quite interconnected! Hopefully restarting therapy will help me keep on track with diet and exercise, as well as learning better coping skills, holding myself accountable for my words and actions, and learning to be my best self.
