Making a list and checking it twice

So much anticipation - endings (2018) and beginnings (Advent and the coming New Year); a time for reflection and planning. Today I have a whole day to myself to un-bury my planner, review shopping lists, and create a rolling "to do" list even if it is only for the next week or so and subject to change.
In terms of Spark-related planning, I am turning over a new leaf. Oh wait, all the leaves around here are buried under snow but I'm sure you understand the idiom anyway. I have a number of behaviors that need a bit of attention and I am feeling it - heart, body, and soul. I am all out of kilter from weeks and weeks of family caregiving. Labors of love for sure but being away from home six out of seven days a week takes a toll. My duties are not over - will be staying with Mom for the coming week and the next may involve one more trip down the highway as nanny for my now 6mo great-niece.
I have basically been stagnating physically. Blame it on my duties, the record setting cold, days of rain and snow, eating and sleeping on others' schedules and in strange beds etc. etc. It certainly didn't help that I picked up some stubborn germs and developed quite a sinus infection which required two rounds of antibiotics. Have finished the prescription and am doing what I can to re-balance my insides from their affects.
First on my list is getting back to basics. Even though I will be still be on the road, I will put a few simple things back in place... so, in no particular order:
Go outside for some fresh air and a walk with my dogs! At least the next two days look promising... today the sun is almost shining and tomorrow the temps are taking a short respite and climbing close to 50! All of us will benefit!!
Up the intake - enough said.
Have been eating way too many simple carbs. Have already purchased a few of my favorites to tote along!
Made it back to town in time to attend choir rehearsal at church last night! So much music to enjoy and share in the coming weeks.
Turning off the computer and heading outside - I feel better already!
