Trying different realtors.

Wednesday, December 05, 2018

Yesterday, on Facebook Messenger, a friend that is a realtor in North Carolina, asked if it would be okay if she contacted some local realtors and see if they thought our house was worth more than $119,900. Both women realtors called me and both are to come by on Friday.

The first realtor told me she thought she had a prospective buyer at $119,900. I have a suspicious nature and wondered how the buyer learned of our house since no pictures were taken of the inside and it was not listed on any public sites.

I told our son to tell her we weren't interested in selling our house at this time. The price was just too low. We paid $160,000 for this house in 2008. I wondered how we would pay for our move out-of-state, for a storage unit to put our boxed stuff in while we wait for the sale, realtor's fees, any inspections needed, and so forth.

We will see what happens.

I told my husband that the instruction booklet for my Kirby vacuum cleaner did not make it clear to me how to use different features on it. I had money saved and bought a Shark Apex
DuoClean Zero-M powered lift-away upright vacuum. My son will get the Kirby since he is good at figuring out electronics.

I used it on my steps from the basement up to the kitchen. I made it into the lift-away (it has wheels on it) and it was easy to use on the steps and really picked up the hair from the dog and cat. It is supposed to have a special feature for hair. I got it at a good price because of sales for Christmas.

I really need a good vacuum to help with cleaning for the sale of the house. The Kirby people took the Shark I had when they sold me the Kirby.

Things have been busy here. Hubby was told by the surgeon that did his shoulder surgery, that he shouldn't try to lift very heavy things. If something he is lifting is causing pain, don't lift it. He also told him he will have pain for at least a year.

He did the trash/recycling on Sunday for me and said he felt some pain when he lifted the trash over the gate to the back yard. We keep it chained so that the dog can't push it open and so that it is a deterrent to anyone wanting to go through our yard.

He has also been helping me more to try to get things done to free up time to pack.

Today is my birthday, I'm 67. I am glad I can still do the things I can do, but I have learned to listen to my body, just like hubby's doctor told him to do.
