5...Another countdown begins
Wednesday, December 26, 2018
Am off to a slow start this morning. It's noon: am still in my jammies drinking a second cup of coffee and the dogs are still napping (all are rare occurrences or should I say indulgences?) Am doing a bit of pre-planning for "the plan"

for a healthier 2019.
Some say look back on what worked and what didn't. For me that took about 5 seconds. I'm essentially in the same spot I was in a year ago except one year older. I tend to ruminate (been seeing that word a lot lately...) so I've decided to adopt the "what's done is done" philosophy. Forgive, forget, and move on.
And so my personal countdown to 2019 begins:
... in the kitchen. I do not host Christmas at my house so I carried the results of my baking with me and LEFT IT ALL at my sister's house. Okay - I will be honest... I left approximately two portions of each for myself. Today I will straighten, put away, and de-clutter as I conduct my kitchen purge. Am going through the frig, the freezer, the cupboards. Making a meal plan (including portion control) from what I have left and throwing out what doesn't set my heart and taste buds aglow!
... drinking an abundance of water for a variety of excellent reasons that you and I already know!
... getting up and moving. Not only am I heading outside with the dogs for a walk but will do a few simple stretches, revisit my heart rate targets, and dust off my Nordic Trak for some very short workouts to reacquaint my body with these motions. The Nordic Trak is my go to indoor calorie burner.
??? Does anyone know why Nordic Trak cross-country machines have disappeared from the market, gyms and exercise plans? is there a reason I don't know about that they have fallen out of favor???
That's it... simple and do-able for the 5th of the last days of 2018!
