Not sure where to start

Saturday, January 05, 2019

This seems to be a never ending battle with me, 2018 was not good at all, I am thankful I still have a roof over my head, and my job, and I finished school, in some ways my health has not gotten worse.

I am back to small steps, stress is still high with husband not working, but I cannot let my health go , I am committing to do more meditation and do some walking every day even for ten minutes and manage my diabetes better.

This means so much to me , I love coming on here and reading these positive words and guidance. I went for a walk for fifty minutes yesterday , husband did not go, but the point is I committed to my walk and I followed through and did not cave and sit down in my easy chair.

emoticon After my DH's heart attack, I was very scared for both of us. We hadn't been eating well and had no exercise regimen. I started cooking healthy new foods and eating them with the chicken and rice that he would eat. It wasn't long, he started to become curious about what I was doing, he's since joined me with a better diet and active exercise. We are on limited budget too, so I feel your frustration. I'd suggest, track your food and fitness, read your nutrition reports, make small changes for improvement. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Well I got back from the grocery store with nothing but food that is on my plan, husband wanted chips and pizza I put my foot down and said no! I am scared for him as well, this long term unemployment he has gained so much weight, he runs out of breath just getting off the couch, so now all I can do is lead by example and refuse to by junk food with my hard earned money.
