Drinking Water Like a Champ! And More Poundage.

Yesterday, I went to the doctor because I haven't recovered from this bronchitis gunk. Well, sure enough, I am still sick. I had or have a fever, and my lungs are still awful. They also hurt like crazy. So, I got more antibiotics and a course of meds. Unfortunately, the medication is quite strong, and it took me a while to wake up this morning, which rushed breakfast and the lunch packing for my son. Man was that fun.
I also found out that I gained 12 more pounds since my last doctor visit, putting me at a whopping 212 pounds. Oh, what a wonderful revelation that was, but I'm not upset because I am drinking water and eating better.
In fact, today is my fourth day of eating vegetarian with some fish. I have also been cooking fresh beans, and my kids are enjoying something new that is traditional in my family.
I have also been de-cluttering the house. I struggle with keeping the house clean, and I finally came to the realization after watching Marie Kondo's show on Netflix and reading her book, that I need to donate the items that don't make me happy.
If you could have seen the pile of clothes on my bed you would have been shocked. I got rid of shoes, too. I am going through the kid clothes over the weekend and having them participate in deciding what they like and want to keep. I have a June deadline, but thus far, it has been wonderful to dejunk my wardrobe. I got rid of 90% stuff that either didn't fit, or that I didn't like. I have a few more bags that I need to go through, but my thinking is unless I really zing with the garment, it's going to the donation pile. Luckily, my husband is taking the bags to the St. Vincent DePaul shop downtown. I actually think he really likes to visit the store, so it's a win-win.
Well, I am in the middle recovering and getting ready to teach on Monday. I have been so sick, I lost track of the days, but my spirits are high, and my energy is good.
I will try to visit your pages back over the weekend. I wish you all the best, even if they are small steps. :) Small steps in 2019! Yay!
1. Drink water every day.
2. Play with the kids regularly. (That's usually chasing my toddler or playing hide and seek.)
3. Eat vegetarian. Some fish.
4. De-clutter every day, if possible for an hour. Make it fun, and don't stress out.
