Survived Holidays and 50KG GONE!

What a hectic few weeks!

I had hit a plateau through December. I decided to treat Christmas dinner as a day off even though part of me was terrified I would undo all my hard work and I'll end up not getting back on track for weeks.

I enjoyed dinner had a couple of glasses of wine and even had seconds of trifle. The next day was straight back on track and exercising...result still plateaued but no damage done. Whew!

The week following Christmas I exercised, tracked and stayed in calorie range and I started losing again YAY plateau busted!!!
BUT then I strained my quadracep, no exercise for me for a while :(

I had my brothers wedding to go to with a week away from home normally this type of thing is a disaster for me foodwise.
I caught up with some of my favorite people I haven't seen for years. I never thought I would get tired of hearing people compliment me on my weight loss, but I was getting close :).

Interestingly my brother who has always been the best looking, slimmest in the family and always slightly ashamed of the rest of his obese family (I think he actually used the word "repulsed" once) was the only person NOT to compliment me. Maybe he hurt as he has piled on weight and is now alarmingly obese. Gotta love family dynamics.

When I got home I had actually lost half a pound and I have lost another 3lbs this week. Maybe taking a break from exercise and restricting calories is what I needed to break this plateau.

I have now lost 50Kg in total from my peak weight and I am now a size 16UK from a 24-26. I celebrated by doing yet another wardrobe purge of too big clothes and getting new trousers and a blouse for work.
