Where Does My Joy Come From... 01/17/19

Where does my joy come from today....

....my Oodle Bunny had a great appetite today. She is 15 1/2 and almost deaf. On good days she hops around like a kitty cat and hunts down toys and has a great time. Then there are days she is cranky and her little bones seem to be extra stiff. She also has a weird eating pattern. Sometimes she goes a day without eating much, then she smacks her bowl around every couple of hours asking for breakfast, elevensies, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea. We give her what she wants when she wants it and delight in the fact she is still in great spirits, loving life and being a little bugger. Today is one of the great eating days. She ate her breakfast with delight, and when I came home from work, she ate another bowl, and then shared my healthy dinner with me.

..... we have a big snow storm coming in Upstate NY. My joy? IT IS NOT HERE YET. Woohooooooo. And my daughter Sarah and her boyfriend decided they would rather be snowed in with us playing games all weekend than sitting in their house alone. We'll take it.

..... I decided to turn off electronics like my laptop and my phone one hour before bedtime. The result is that I found a book in the house I always wanted to read, but never took the time to start. I am glad I did. It's called "Wizard's First Rule" by Terry Goodkind. There are hunters and hunted, unsung heroes and flying monsters, mysteries and I bet there are horses somewhere too. So far, an absolute joy to read and I can't wait to see where this adventure is going to take me.
