Day 35 - planning and learning from the past

Saturday, January 26, 2019

This week brought a trip to Cuba, eating out every day, stress at work, A serious backlog on emails, and potluck today...and I was still able to stick to it out, losing about 3-4 pounds this week. Had a plan for the week and stuck to it, feeling really proud and feel like in a really good place.

Currently all my thoughts and believes are aligned - I know being morbidly (super) obese is bad - I know I have the knowledge, tools and ambition to lose weight!!! I know I can and WILL do this.

I am able to make decision with a clear mind, I am not slipping up and making excuses. I am on a roll and feel (almost) invincible.....we all know that’s not true, so I am trying to plan ahead and anticipate challenges. I am trying to reflect on what I may have done in the past, knowing I shouldn’t, or didn’t have to - reflecting on and learning from past mistakes. Next week we have the monthly office lunch, so I’ll make sure to brown bag and eat before everyone breaks for the buffet. Tomorrow is a day at home catching up at work, so should be good.

When traveling, although I make it clear that I’ll strick to protein only, I am being offered to have some bread, sides and share a dessert. Not having filled up on carbs earlier in the day, and/or in the meal, it’s quite easy (for now....) to pass on anything not in the program.

Today I started with 3 soft boiled eggs for breakfast and a cup of cottage cheese for lunch. Dinner was a potluck, so had to make sure I find some meat. Was lucky and got some pork curry and roasted duck. Backup plan was cooking once we got home, so wouldn’t have been an issue.

Day 35 - 30.4 lbs down - only 169.6lbs or 565 days to go to 225lbs
Taking my last few puffs on my vape, then will throw them out and quit smoking for good. I am committing to myself that I will NOT compensate by eating.

emoticon Tremendous results! I love your clarity, intensity, drive, focus, control, determination! You are strategic too, anticipating potential hurdles. It’s natural for us to bring in all the success tools we use at work to drive this journey, it’s how we’ve learned to win in life!

Mental health and doing the inner work is something I would suggest you plan for, it is usually the missing component, yet when accounted for, I find the results are easier to achieve.

It is when I put me first, meal planning, exercise planning, physically executing the plan daily, tracking daily, H20, sleep 9+ hrs, eating in range, hitting that protein consistently, and most importantly, taking that mental journey, mending that disappointed heart, connecting with what I really want, and identifying and beating the Fear that holds me back, is when the weight stayed off, yo-yo action stopped, and I was able to resume losing.

    Cheering for ya!
