Day 37 - this is my Odyssey...

This is my story! This is my Odyssey! And I will be my hero!!!

A couple of years ago when I was losing weight I was reading the Odyssey and was inspired to look at my journey in the same light. We are all on a journey with a final destination in mind. Our sirens may be the food we crave, or the thoughts that can derail us and our journey can take forever. But there is always hope that we can and eventually will arrive, no matter how many detours we may take, how many obstacles we will encounter.

So, I am recycling this inspiration and I am absolutely determined to achieve my goal of 200lbs and not gaining it back. I can and I WILL reach my “Ithaca”, my goal.

Had a rather good day, a bit challenged with motivation and energy, but great with food choices. Second day smoke free, so working through cravings, but covered well. Going strong on brown bagging to work every day, and still sticking to the same food selections. Still keep it to a narrow selection since I know they work and satiate me for the time being.

Breakfast - 3 soft boiled eggs
Lunch - 3 soft boiled eggs and pork rinds
Dinner - chicken, cucumber and cheddar salad

Day 37 - 30.4lbs down - 169.6lbs or 563 days to go to 225lbs
2 days smoke free
