Day 38 - 3 days smoke free
Tuesday, January 29, 2019
Cravings are getting fewer, so expect to be over the hump by end of the week, but know they will be around for some time. Have stuck to my commitment to not let quitting smoking my eating habits, and/or make up for the cravings with food. Stress at work is not really helping, but seem to be able to manage, since my focus is not on food and carb cravings.
Today didn’t start off well, but planned and adjusted accordingly. My teenage daughter had cooked my boiled eggs for my breakfast and brown bag consistently, until......yesterday. When i got up this morning, I was looking for them,....and eventually ended up skipping breakfast, later eating an epic beef bar to just start the engine.
We also had a catered lunch in the office today, which typically is lots of carbs and some meat, and I was planning to bring “the usual” - 3 soft boiled eggs and pork rind. With no eggs around I opted for nuts instead. Finally, lunch arrived and it was Taco Tuesday - so actually had some chicken, taco beef and lettuce, without the tacos. So, a couple of detours and adjustments, but it worked out great.
Dinner was a few chicken thighs and half a cup of sour cream, and water goal was met by late afternoon.
At this very moment I am watching my daughter boil the eggs, to make sure I am set for tomorrow....😀
I am slowly re-gaining energy and some motivation, but not on my A-game yet. Hope once the cravings subside I can motivate myself to be a bit more active the coming weekend. Overall, super positive about all the changes and where I am heading.
