Starting 6week Diet for Life today

I've been eating whole food plant based since August 2018, trying to avoid sugar, oil and processed foods but I really haven't given it 100% effort. I picked up a book from the library by Dr Furman and it has inspired me to really get serious and cut out the cheating and see if I can achieve the great results I've read about.
Giving up meat was pretty easy. I have always said that if I had to kill the animal I wouldn't be eating it. The meat industry is not good to the animals, the enviornment, the workers or the consumers. My downfall is processed vegan junkfood and french fries/ fried potatoes. I am making a promise to myself for the next six weeks to strictly follow the Diet for Life plan.
I've come back to SparkPeople because it has great food and fitness trackers and I like seeing how others are meeting their goals and overcoming challenges.
