Holy Moly have I blown up!

Tuesday, February 26, 2019

So, I got on the scale today ... and I haven't been on one for quite a while... since I was feeling so gross... but, getting on it today made it a whole lot worse than what I thought! 221.9!!! I have NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE been this big! I am so incredibly embarrassed in myself that I let myself get to this point!!

I am so glad that I am making a conscious effort to get my life back on track again. Today I downloaded an app called monitor my weight. It's free and it will help me watch my weight and ensure it is moving in the right direction.

I have purchased a floor stepper (I don't know what they are called ... the plank that is elevated a couple inches off the floor for aerobics?)
I bought a new yoga ball, a kettle bell and a few dumbbells.

I have also been trying to feverishly look into how to start up Keto. Of all of my friends around me who have started Keto they all have lost a tremendous amount of weight and with their help I know I can do it as well. For those of you who are either established Keto heroes or for those who are also just beginning... what is your biggest struggle? How difficult was it to get started? I've already purchased a handful of items to assist in my journey... the special flours and sugars I am to use in meals and a bunch of veggies... but, what other types of things would be good to know about this journey that can help me stick to it and stay focused.

As is, I do not care to cook - I'm no good at it... so, I get discouraged easily as is... Which usually results in my ordering in .... so, how can I avoid this at all cost?!

Small changes here and there... but, the more I move the happier I will feel... I know this from past experience. I'll get there... I've done it before... I can do it again. I just need an extra little push and I'm trying a different route this time around...

Like they say, if being thin were easy, everybody would be thin. I'm glad you are getting a plan together.

Above all, you need a good mind set. You need to care enough about yourself to eat nourishing foods and get healthy activity that you can sustain for life because you deserve to be healthy.

Small steps are the way to go, small steps every single day and accepting you are not perfect, there will be set backs and that's ok.

After yo-yoing for many years, I decided to take it in baby steps when I got back on Spark for the second time and that's when things clicked.

I also hate to cook, I'm not good at it. I am lucky that DH is a great cook but he's not into light eating so I eat a little less of what he cooks for dinner and I look up quick, healthy breakfast and lunch ideas since I eat both of those meals at work.

We are always a work in progress.
