It's been 4 days....

Wednesday, February 27, 2019

It's been 4 days in a row now that I have gone to the gym at work. I've worked through my lunch break and did 30 minutes of working out on the machines they offer at work. It has also been 2 days that I have been soda free... that is not a huge milestone...but, it is a start - AGAIN.

I once read somewhere... it doesn't matter how many times you fall off the wagon - what matters is how many times you get back on it and try.

So, here I am... back on the wagon again... giving it a go and trying again. I WILL get this right one of these days... and hopefully this will be the time around that I do it.

What are some motivators that have helped you stay focused and stay on track? Did you stay focused for Health? For your Kids? To be able to wear nice clothes? What was your drive?
What ultimately pushed you over the edge and made you commit 100% without excuses?

Pain. My feet hurt when I stood up for the first time in the mornings. I could never go without orthopedic support. I was afraid my knees would buckle on the stairs. Summers were unbearable. I was slowly becoming an invalid. I so regret waiting till I got to that point. I never want to be there again and God willing I won't. Let me be an example. Do it while you're young, it only gets harder with age. Keep the faith! emoticon

My drive is showing my kids how to be healthy. There are enough health problems we can't avoid in our family (mainly cancers) that there is no need to have them added to. I also want to be around to see my grandchildren some day. When I realized they were copying me just sitting and watching tv and not doing anything I knew it was time for a change. Though if at some point I feel comfortable wearing a bathing suit in public again ..well thats bonus points :D

Just keep up the good work, make it a habit and you wont forget to do it as often. Proud of you for getting back up and going back at it. You can do it. Cheering you on!
