I enrolled in the 21 days challenge for new comers to SP. It had me look up the date i created my account.. in the summer of 2006! Wow. I did lose a good 40 pounds using SP, i didn't know a single thing about nutrition, how to feed myself or what i needed, really. I am very grateful to have found SP back then. I managed to lose more weight and get healthy with an active partner and new interest for nutrition and physical activity. I went down to around 155 lbs and stayed there, healthy, toned, active. But then my personal life became a wreck ball and old coping mechanisms came right back at me. I am now back at weighting between 175-180 lbs. I need to relearn everything, but mostly the habit of looking at what i put in my mouth, being mindful. I need to start moving again, i became quite the hermit in the past year. Burned out, depressed, anxious.
From this moment, the task seems a little exhaustive. But i think coming back here everyday, try to log my food and read articles to keep the topic and my focus fresh in my mind is a good starting point. I often find myself frustrated by the website, the interface and how everything is not intuitive or very user friendly.. maybe it just has changed, but not in a super good way. Anyway, i'm trying to get more comfortable coming here and using the website.
I do have a membership at the gym.. in August i bought an annual membership and would you believe me if i tell you i went for THE FIRST TIME last weekend? *sigh* I have a routine on paper that i want to get into, i think it's a good routine, it's just hard to get started. So hard! Why?
I also renewed my membership at yogaglo (i think they just call it glo now), it's a good website for yoga, they have classes recorded, meditation, and classes for all levels. I will try to make space in my days for yoga and meditation, and spend less time on my cellphone.
I wish you a good Sunday ;)
