I enrolled in the 21 days challenge for new comers to SP. It had me look up the date i created my account.. in the summer of 2006! Wow. I did lose a good 40 pounds using SP, i didn't know a single thing about nutrition, how to feed myself or what i needed, really. I am very grateful to have found SP back then. I managed to lose more weight and get healthy with an active partner and new interest for nutrition and physical activity. I went down to around 155 lbs and stayed there, healthy, toned, active. But then my personal life became a wreck ball and old coping mechanisms came right back at me. I am now back at weighting between 175-180 lbs. I need to relearn everything, but mostly the habit of looking at what i put in my mouth, being mindful. I need to start moving again, i became quite the hermit in the past year. Burned out, depressed, anxious.

From this moment, the task seems a little exhaustive. But i think coming back here everyday, try to log my food and read articles to keep the topic and my focus fresh in my mind is a good starting point. I often find myself frustrated by the website, the interface and how everything is not intuitive or very user friendly.. maybe it just has changed, but not in a super good way. Anyway, i'm trying to get more comfortable coming here and using the website.

I do have a membership at the gym.. in August i bought an annual membership and would you believe me if i tell you i went for THE FIRST TIME last weekend? *sigh* I have a routine on paper that i want to get into, i think it's a good routine, it's just hard to get started. So hard! Why?

I also renewed my membership at yogaglo (i think they just call it glo now), it's a good website for yoga, they have classes recorded, meditation, and classes for all levels. I will try to make space in my days for yoga and meditation, and spend less time on my cellphone.

I wish you a good Sunday ;)

@GRANDEFILLE Thank you so much for your comment. I read the article and it made me realize that, since i went through these steps before, i think it's gonna be "easier" for me this time around. I know what i have to do, i know what it's gonna be like (hard but rewarding :)). Most of all i need to keep in mind that i want to improve habits and be more active. It seems a lot but i think i'm ready for it, i think my body and mind are asking for it. I'm all about being kind to myself, it's an ongoing process but i learn, hahah :) I'm gonna read more articles of the likes and take it real easy :)

I know how it is. I've been there lost so much and went back to former behaviors when my life just happened. This is why this time around I'm going for the slowest looser way. I make one small change and let it take effect before I make another one.

You have to find your own peace your own way of making lasting changes. But you can do it I know it and you know it. Be kind to yourself. you deserve it!

    Keep on sparking!
