The "time change" blues

Since January I've been finding my own rhythm...setting up my mornings for success and it's really changed the game. I awake around 5a without an alarm, throw on my clothes, sneaks and take out the dogs, grab a coffee and sit down with my Bible and a good devotional. Map out my day with my planner and by 6:15 I'm on the road to take my son to school with the 85lb St.Berdoodle in tow. On my way home I stop in the cutest little town and walk by the lake, every day for 30+ minutes, arriving home by 7:45a to grab breakfast and kick off my work day.
NOW with the time change, I'm waking up at 6...scurrying to grab my clothes in the dark and trying to cram scalding hot coffee down my throat only to realize it's pitch dark outside and walking by the lake (especially in Florida) is dangerous if not sometimes deadly.
I'm having to retool my routine and my answer after a touch of contemplation is to gradually move my morning wake up time back by 15 minutes every few days until I'm up at 5a again. Instead of walking my dog at what is normally 7a, I'm heading straight to the YMCA to walk on the treadmill (roll eyes, I do not enjoy this)...this will keep my rhythm moving until I can figure out a different place to walk where it's lighted.
Sigh - I'm considering it all joy as this was never even part of my mindset before...praise Jesus!
