Why is this so hard?

Why is it so easy to write down your goals, write down your plans, and even track your food for the week, but its so HARD to actually follow through? I use food as an excuse for EVERYTHING. Im upset? Chocolate! I am stressed? Pepsi and chocolate! Im happy? Lets order pizza!
I am witnessing first hand what happens when you let yourself get bad. I do not want it to happen to me.
Maybe I need to set smaller goals. Right now I am focusing on 5 lb increments. Maybe I should just focus on one day at a time for now....
