I've been MIA. A lot has happened since I last logged in.

For one: I changed jobs. My last one made making my health a priority an issue. So, I had to stop. But now I work in an industry where that is no longer an issue. In fact, it is encouraged.


Second: My health has taken a hit because of one: I have spent two stints in the hospital. The first one was for a suspected heart attack that placed me in CICU for a few days. It turned out that leaving the previous job was a few days too short. The stress was too much too late. I had already made the changes to alleviate it, but the damage was already done.

The second stay was where I contracted a virus that made me very ill and left me in the hospital for 3 days for fluids and pain management. I'm home now, but still recovering.

The good news is that I'm doing better now. But I look worse for it. And need to make changes. The problem is that I constantly keep coming back to this blog with plans and promises to make those changes. But when you are in CICU with a scare like I had, you make those changes. I'm as weak as a kitten right now from the virus still, but I'm starting NOW. Not tomorrow.

I don't like how I look or feel. I don't like running out of breath or not feeling like I can do "stuff" or being rejected for how I look. And all over things I have control over. I'm taking control - TODAY!
