When I take my walks in the morning, normally I start out with 10-20 minutes. I like doing it in the morning before all the traffic and noise. Listening to the birds sing, seeing the rabbits, even new little ones (rabbits are my second favorite animal, horses being the first. It would be very unlikely to see a horse in the city).
Anyway, my walk one day became 30 min. and today 1 hour.
Of course, there was a reason behind this. I needed to mail a bill for my dad, so I walked to the store to the mail box and mailed it. I needed to get something at the store, so went in and got it, got to the self check out and found out I grabbed my drivers license instead of my credit card, a little bit hard to pay with a drivers license. So I walked home, which is a little over a block, got my cc and walked backed to the store.
Now my legs were getting a little tired, but I decided to take a longer way home. Around the shopping center. So I walked it. I feel GREAT! You may think this isn't a big deal, but normally I would have just waited until later, get in the car then drive back to the store (a block away).
It was cool, and when I started around the shopping center, after I got my purchases, a light fog set in. It was really nice. Still listening to the birds, and yes, by then there was a little bit more traffic. At least I know I can make myself walk further if I really wanted to. I'm learning to not listen to my negative self, and be more positive.
When I got home I look at my vision board, and the picture of me (well my head on someone else body), of how I want to look. Firm and fit. These walks are doing wonders for my legs. Now, lets see, I need to work on my arms and core. OK Planks, here I come!
OK, just listened to my challenge from SparkCoach Nicole for today. Try to do 50 pushup. At least I don't have to do them all at one time. But I'm going to try for the 50.
