Living with daily pain

I have had a heel spur for over a year now and it's only getting worse. It limits my ability to walk now which was my go-to exercise to keep active. Getting treatment but honestly only relief for a little while. I have great shoes and if my insurance approves, getting custom orthotics for my shoe. I need to lose weight to alleviate some of the pain, but exercise is painful. Need to research what things I can do without killing my foot.
