Woke up yesterday a wee bit tired from the late night and excitement from the Pink concert the night before. I chose to sleep longer so I would have a clear head for work, which means I did not go kickboxing, but I did get a 2 mile run in on my lunch hour. Food choices were on point.. stuffed french toast with fresh strawberries, fresh mint and shaved dark chocolate for breakfast. Lunch was buffalo chicken breast over salad with blue cheese crumbles and fat free blue cheese dressing, shredded carrots, olives and poppy seeds (purchased in error).. Dinner was out with my GF before round two of pink.. I had the Tuna Poke and the steak lettuce wraps and we shared the brussels sprouts. Wow, what a flavor explosion and just the right amount of food.
We get to the concert and I go to will call, no tickets.. my heart sank.. Got bounced around a few times, but I remained calm.. finally they figured out the mistake and we were handed the tickets with time to spare before Pink took center stage again.
Same concert, different seats..as we got closer to the stage, the excitement soared. I had a fantastic time Tuesday in the nose bleeds, but I have to say, being down much closer, really feeling the electricity and excitement took the experience to a whole new level. As we were leaving my friend said to me, I know this sounds weird, and I finished her sentence - like we were almost part of the show and she said yes. It felt like we were "hanging out with her" as she amazed us with her talents.. Last night we stayed until the end so we saw the entire So What flying trapeze act. Yes she flew through the air several times throughout the night as she sang, but this was a whole new level of spectacular.
This morning I shared a few videos with the hubby and even he was impressed.. some concerts it doesn't matter as much where you sit, but with Pink, she is worth the effort and money it takes to get into the "good seats".
It's like this journey to good health, in the nose bleed seats, you may not fully experience the excitement that exists, from a closer distance it looks pretty good and the momentum starts to build, but up close and personal, that is where the action is. When you are so close to goal you can actually taste it, the level of excitement that strikes you and sucks you in is thrilling. You are filled with anticipation and overcome by this amazing feeling of joy. So no matter where you are in the journey, know this it's a beautiful exciting ride! Embrace it, and enjoy every moment along the way!
It is raining cats and dogs today with no prediction of stopping any time soon, but I see sunshine and rainbows, or at least I can hear them and feel them. Have a terrific Thursday,
