Do you hear what I say?

Saturday, May 25, 2019

Woke up yesterday and dragged myself out of bed to #cko for my Friday morning fix.. I knew for certain that I would walk out of there feeling invigorated and happy. Tully's classes are high intensity and fun. He brings a bit of silly to each class and you can't help but grin as you are pummeling the bag. Random thoughts and actions come out of his mouth in between instructions and if you catch them, it makes it all the more fun!

Class was a lot less crowded than I expected, perhaps and early rush to MMD weekend and people got out of dodge already, which is good, hopefully 8am will be the same way today.. After a fantastic workout came home and made an omelete with spinach, tomatoes feta cheese and a mixture of herbs that resembled greek seasoning on the side I had a clementine.

Went to pick up the dry cleaning (two dress options for the wedding today and a blazer) and it wasn't ready, it took several, I'm sorry I don't understands to realize I was being told to come back at 6pm. I told her it was very important because I have an early wedding the next day, she smiled and nodded and said tomorrow. Have to say it made me a bit nervous.. dry cleaner is right next to the awesome deli so I bought some fresh sliced roast beef, some fresh mozzarella and their awesome brick oven bread to have for lunch later. Added some roasted red peppers and garlic aioli! Yummy!

Work was crazy quiet and uneventful. I spent my lunch hour on the lounge chair the backyard. Set my alarm, grabbed my book, put the book down on my chest for a moment, fell asleep.. LOL. Still catching up on my zzz's.

Went back to the dry cleaner a little after 6pm the lady was gone and the young boy could not find my clothes anywhere. He started to panic, I didn't, I knew they were done.. after a few minutes of frantic searching on his part, the lady walked in the door walked to the rack right behind him and grabbed my clothes which were in between a few men's suits and not in the numbered rack where they normally are.. probably because she knew I would be coming back to get them. She handed them to me and smiled, nodded at me and said tomorrow . That I understood on the first try.

Sometimes we have to listen with more than our ears to understand what someone is saying, especially if there is a language barrier, or an emotional barrier or just a completely different mindset.

It was a glorious day so hubby and I decided to grill for dinner, chicken breast, chicken sausage, bratwurst and caramelized onions. Homemade macaroni salad with tuna, a salad with peppers, cucumbers, red onions and feta, and corn on the cob made up the menu. Guess who ate what.. 🤗

We ate outside on the back deck and were going to just chill there, but it started to get too chilly (see what I did there).. and I headed inside.. Shortly thereafter hubby followed.

Late night snack thoughts entered my brain so I mixed together my fat free greek yogurt with 1 tbsp of sugar free jello "cheesecake" flavored mix, one crumbled low fat honey graham cracker and topped it with cherries which I defrosted in the microwave.. Yummy..

Busy weekend on tap, workout this morning, wedding which starts at 1pm and ends some time around midnight. 50th anniversary party tomorrow and Monday at this point it time has nothing on the calendar except the 930 one and only kickboxing class. A great day for quiet reflection and remembrance.

Have a blessed weekend!
