Where to start? We decided last October to leave our church. They voted to teach the book of Enoch and wanted to study the Apocrypha, the book of Jasher and books that are not inspired or in the KJ version of the Bible.
We had been studying the Old Testament, a chapter a week on Wednesdays, and I thought we wouldn't finish the Old Testament until November 2018. It was brought to a vote to study the book of Enoch and there was talk about a flat Earth. My husband and I decided to move to another church.
Well, at that time hurricanes had flooded many places. We tried to go to West Virginia and the transmission went out on our car. We ended up junking the car. Then my husband ran my van without oil and we sold it for junk too and bought a 2017 Dodge Journey for $20,800. We joined a church in South Shore, Kentucky.
We contacted a realtor and she wanted to sell our house for $119,900. We paid $160,000 for it in 2008. I told her I wasn't giving my house away. So we found a new realtor and about two weeks ago, she said she had health problems and wasn't going to work our area any longer. I understand health problems. She recommended another lady to work with us and I asked, if she was quitting because of health problems, were we bound by a contract not to go with any other realtor for a year. She and the realtor she recommended, said it was okay for us to get out of the contract.
I called a father and son that sell houses that need work or that can be flipped. They listed our house Wednesday and put a sign in the front yard and we signed a contract to sell it this afternoon for $5,000 more than what they listed it for. Now we are scrambling to get out of this house in a month.
I won't be answering comments or doing more blogs here at Spark People until we resettle and I am unpacked.
I still have problems with IBS, back pain and diabetes. I am at 235.8 lbs. without trying. I have spent $2,043.50 this month on this move. My husband and son will not listen to anything I recommend and they tore two pool covers and the pool water is green. Then the side door was caught by the wind and sucked open and tore the door frame-$900 to fix that; and pictures of the house were $!40 for 31 pictures on the internet.
Today, I had eye exams at the VA Center in Martinsburg and had my eyes dilated. We will be making at least two trips to Ohio and Kentucky to find a house and to listen to a missionary from Trinidad. Then we still have to get everything out to where we buy a house. My husband wouldn't say, "Yes" or "No" to listings I had saved on Zillow, he just grunted and I didn't know whether to delete the listing or save it. He really provokes me!
I have been having tests for various ailments. I have worsening arthritis in my lower back and was given an electrical simulator to relieve back pain. I can't walk 20 minutes and took a fall. I didn't get hurt, but now I have two walking sticks from downed limbs in the woods. I haven't tried them out yet because of being so busy with the house and getting Bayou off the property when we have a showing. I can only work maybe 10 or 15 minutes and then I have to rest.
This is my last update until we move and I get my computer set up again. Someone posted on my page about my birthday. It is in December so someone had wrong information. I'm 67 and going to Heaven, how about you?
