Friday night update

I started going out for walks, not every nights but often! I also wasn't super tempted to eat chips and junkfood lately, I came to the realization that nothing will change if i don't stop the harful behaviors. So there's that! :)

I sure am on some plateau though, it's like my body doesn't remember how to lose weight! The scale even went up, i seem to have more belly fat and more cellulite than ever.. I try not to get discouraged by that, so far i'm hanging on! My diet has been all over the place, though. I always eat the same things, not enough diversity and not enough veggies. Not ideal for a vegan ;) So i will slowly but mindfully work on that, buying better food and maybe i'll try to calculate my calories again.

I'm hopeful but from here, it seems like a lot of work. I know it's worth it, in time, and i'll try to learn how to have fun doing it.

how are you guys doing? How do you kickstart things and wake you body up? :)

    I have been on an up and down roller coaster for so long. Lose . Gain . Lose . Gain

    This week I took Dr. Pepper's off my menu. I was drinking 3 or more a day. I had a health problem and I knew the Dr. Pepper's contributed to the problem. This is my 5th day. It's really more or less making up your own mind that you really want to do this. I stopped bringing sweets home because if they are there, I am tempted. I am exercising much more, mostly walking. I make about 12000 to 13000 most days. My goal is 16000 so I have a way to go.

    My best advice is be positive about yourself and don't let the negative in; be consistent with your meals and your exercise. Don't get discouraged. Keep the positive thoughts going. I'm not telling you to walk the # of steps I am attempting right now. I started with a smaller number and then slowly built up to this.

    Just always say: I CAN DO THIS and then move forward. Any movement counts.

    Aim for as many veggies and fruits as you can (think 6-7+ servings daily) and stay clear of the processed vegan/vegetarian products and focus on whole grains and legumes. Good job with the walks!!!!!

    Also, I base my meals on the fruits and veggies and just add enough potato/brown rice/wild rice and beans/lentils to fill me up.
    Breakfast is the same every day and lunch is similar depending on what veggies I have on hand, but something different for dinner every day.
