Life without my husband

Sunday, August 25, 2019

I lost my husband 12/13/18 I had to disconnect his life support. Now it is easier for me to eat out and save some for the next meal. I have now got emotional Asthma. Been doing good with my bipolar and depression. I just need to lose weight and it is hard. And prediabetic I feel like I need some good advice and to start back eating right. Thanks for everyone who belongs to this program.

I was prediabetic but am no longer. I did it by eating 125gms of carbs or less a day. I still had great choices. I use ess sodium, less artificial sweeteners, and less omega 6 fatty acids. Avoid transfat, nitrites, nitrates, hormones, antibiotics, additives, chemicals, pesticides, preservatives, dyes, junk food, fast food, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, fruit juice, farm raised fish, cured meats, caffeine, MSG, alcohol, soy, gluten, foods that come in tins containing bisphenol-A, microwave popcorn that contains perfluorooctanoic acid, low fat foods, diet foods,. I like fresh grass fed meat, wild caught fish/seafood, organic. Lots of fruits, veggies, seeds, nuts, fresh lean meat, eggs, fish, seafood, healthy fats, high quality dairy or almond milk, and some legumes. Minimally processed non-glutenous grains rarely.

Just keep trudging that road to happy destiny. With this program I went from full blown diabetes (810 blood sugar) to and average of 85 blood sugar. emoticon

I am also prediabetic & working on weightloss. Down 30 lbs losing not quite a # per wk. Slow & steady = balanced. I count calories, watch portions & pick mostly healthier foods. Walking is my exercise when back issues don't flare up. You can too!

I’m so sorry for your loss. Take baby steps and try fixing something you’d really enjoy. I have to agree if it’s just one person it’s not always as much fun to cook something up but that can be fixed by inviting someone to join you .

So sorry to hear you lost your husband. I just do not know what I would do without mine. I see my sister as she lost hers 10 years ago and I see the loneliness in your life without him.
