Hurricane Eating Anyone?

Sunday, September 08, 2019

Since the recent hurricane has passed, I have not purchased any frozen foods or any thing that needs to go in my freezer.

We are in "Hurricane Season," now. So with the last two hurricanes we had, I lost every thing in my freezer, because the electricity was out for so long. Each time I replaced all of those items. (Expensive, and insurance does not cover this emoticon .

So, I have been trying to consume everything I can that is in my freezer. So that I won't have to throw everything out. Everyday I cook and eat something from my freezer Soon, I will be going to the store to get more canned goods to keep on hand in case of storm related power outage.

Canned goods are not my favorite thing to eat, but it is better that starving. I like fresh cooked vegetables and fresh fruit, but not possible during a power outage.

Today I will be cooking some fresh frozen zipper peas, with chicken and green beans. Looking forward to this meal.
