Moving forward.

Wednesday, September 11, 2019

It has been a while since I posted last. We had a vacation in there, and just recently school started back up! (my son is a 6th grader already!)

While we were on vacation I sort of got off track with all of the exercising and measuring. But I was mindful of what I was eating and still tracked my food. So when we came back, I decided to just take a month off. Up to that point I had lost 25 pounds. I wanted to see if I could maintain at my new weight. I didn't exercise for that month off, but I did track all of my food still. And I maintained! So, now I'm back at it again (hopefully for another 25 pounds!).

I did pass my test that I was taking for my CDA. I just have one more to take, and then it will be official! I was hoping to take it before the holidays, but there's a lot to review on this one. It's something that I've wanted to do for a long time... I've been assisting for 21 years!

I also went for my bloodwork today for my cholesterol. So... next week I'll know if I need to start taking the medicine or if I've done enough work to get it down myself. So, I'm just waiting on that one for a few more days.

I'm so thankful to have an understanding and supportive son. He even tries to help me out sometimes with stuff to eat or measuring. And he'll join me once in a while when I exercise. Or sometimes he'll even just sit there and talk to me while I'm exercising. I usually work out as soon as I get home from work (so that takes some of our together time away at night). I put dinner in the oven to heat up, and get to it. Then we eat dinner and do some stuff before bedtime. I don't think he minds too much, most of the time he watches some TV or plays video games. :)

Thank you all for your kind and supportive comments on previous posts. They keep me motivated! So, thank you.
